Do Not Lose Hope

His bloodied feet walk upon that gravel road.
His hands, they carry that large, wooden cross.
His face looks weary from the sneers of the crowd
I can't bear to watch this Man anymore.

The guards, they show no mercy.
With one slip of His foot
They ruthlessly swing their whips.

As He lifts His head I look into His eyes.
His face is etched with signs of pain and sorrow.
But nothing can hide my joy
When I look into His eyes
And I see the smallest spark of light
That whispers in my ear
Do not lose hope.

His bloodied feet are now nailed to the cross.
His hands are pierced right through.
The crown of thorns lies upon His head.
How can He bear this pain?

The crowd, they show no mercy.
With no second thought
They ruthlessly mock His name.

As He lifts His head
I look into His eyes.
His face is etched with signs of pain and sorrow.
But nothing can hide my joy
When I look into His eyes
And I see the smallest spark of light
That whispers in my ear
Do not lose hope.

When He took His dying breath
A tear dropped from my face.
It fell to the ground
And with it fell my smallest spark of hope.
But then I remember. . .

When He lifted His head
I looked into His eyes.
His face was etched with signs of pain and sorrow.
But nothing could hide my joy
When I looked into His eyes
And I saw the smallest spark of light
That whispered in my ear
Do not lose hope.

Yeah, this song is sad. *sniffle*

I have no idea how I come up with these things. My mind just wanders away. =P
